T56 transmission parts include hydraulic clutch, clutch disk, bell
housing etc. There are many types of transmissions developed by auto
manufacturers. These types include –
- CVT transmission – This transmission is Continuously Variable transmission. It can change gears without stepping through infinite number of gear ratios and provide better fuel efficiency.
- Hydramatic 6T70 – It was developed in joint project conducted by General Motors and Ford in 2002. This auto transmission was developed to improve fuel efficiency. It is designed to give compact unit with simple mechanics. It improved fuel efficiency by 4 percent.
- Tremec T56 – This six-speed transmission is used for performance cars like Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro, Ford Mustang’s Shelby, Cobra Mustangs etc.
- Semi-automatic transmission – It is also called as clutchless manual transmission. In this transmission, clutch is operated electronically synchronizing requirement of torque and timing eliminating need of clutch pedal.
- Direct shift gearbox – It has dual clutch manual transmission. Its two independent clutches eliminate traditional torque converter and help faster shifting.
