Types Of T56 Transmission

T56 transmission parts include hydraulic clutch, clutch disk, bell housing etc. There are many types of transmissions developed by auto manufacturers. These types include –
  • CVT transmission – This transmission is Continuously Variable transmission. It enables engine to run efficiently with more revolutions per minute at different speeds. Some Nissan cars used CVT transmission.
  • Hydramatic 6T70 – It is six-speed automatic transmission. It is designed to give compact unit with simple mechanics. It improved fuel efficiency by 4 percent.
  • Tremec T56 – This six-speed transmission is used for performance cars like Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro, Ford Mustang’s Shelby etc. These were developed using aluminum die cast housing.
  • Semi-automatic transmission – It is also called as clutchless manual transmission. In this transmission, clutch is operated electronically synchronizing requirement of torque and timing eliminating need of clutch pedal.
  • Direct shift gearbox – This transmission is known as DSG. It has dual clutch manual transmission. Its two independent clutches eliminate traditional torque converter and help faster shifting.
Besides these different types of transmissions, many other transmissions like 350 transmission, T5 transmission etc. are developed by automakers.
